For those of you new here, I was previously blogging at babywalters.blogspot.com That blog has been retired as we have moved into a new season in our lives.
The 4th of July weekend was the first time that all 8 of us were together living under the same roof. Jared and I had tried to unpack as much as possible before the chaos began because we knew that as soon as all the kids arrived we would be busy just keeping up with meals, laundry, and spending time as a family.
I took four of our kids to some fun activities at a local park on the afternoon of the 4th of July. Jared stayed home with the other two who were recovering from being sick.
Making crafts, meeting Davy Crockett and Benjamin Franklin, playing a version of duck-duck-goose designed to cool everyone down on a hot day, and panning for gold.
We headed home to hang out with my brother and his family who were coming from out of town to visit us for the weekend. Sam brought a ton of fireworks and our neighbors pulled up their lawn chairs to watch the show.
